Does HDD hosting still exists ? Almost every reputed host I check offer SSD for storage.

Will use if a host is using HDD for storage ?

Only very few hosts do HDD hosting these days. Most of them are using SSD.

Some of them still do. There is not much difference in rates though. A lot of people do not know what to look for when buying a hosting plan.

I would skip them when I am offered. When you can get SSD storage almost the same price, why bother.

SATA (HDD) and SAS are rarely used these days. However AWS still provides this as the underlying magnetic storage for Glacier etc which means the cost is next to nothing. However, copy and recovery rates are much slower, so it's not for production use, but extremely cheap and effective for archiving.

SSDs will last longer ? They are not mechanical like HDDs, right ?

Abhi well, that really depends on the manufacturer. USB drives (the cheap ones) are supposedly ok for one million accesses. SSD technology has come a long way since inception. I've had my current one a few years.
