We talked about Font Awesome, Google Material Design icons etc. But there are a lot of them these days

It's true. This icon set is from the famous Twitter Bootstrap which you use to build websites and web pages.

The version is currently v1.0.0-alpha2. But even at this point, it looks good and is improving with time. Here is the Github repo if you are interested

Do you know about the Noun Project ? 10 times icons when compared to Font Awesome. There was another pack which I like, forgot the name. It was premium and FA use to promote it.

IonIcons v5 is now available in 3 different flavours. It is a free, open-source icon pack with outline, fill and sharp variants with around 1,200 icons. You can see how the variants looks like here

It goes well with Material designs icons as well. So if you use both of them in the same app, it won't break the style / theme.

Someone suggested supporting other mainstream icon packs. Bootstrap said " no, I would like to draw it myself ".

Bootstrap icons alpha 3 is now available

cleaned up the existing ones by changing their viewBox size and redrew many to ensure more pixel perfect icons.

WordPress puts an end to further development of their Dash icons

No new icon requests will be entertained. But you can still grab around 300 + icons, if you wish to from the Github repo above.

Development was slow. Possibly the team was not very active on the project. That is what I heard.

Someone told me that it took months to get an icon after a request is posted.
