Invision Community or IPB has been around since a long time. They are very active in releasing major versions and security and bug fix packages from time to time.
Today, I am going to introduce you to a few security features they have added in v 4.5 of their
Security enhancements include password handling. You can now force users to reset password. This periodical reset can be on a per-member basis or through a filter.
Another security feature they are happy about is that how passwords are hashed ( one way ). So even if there is a database leak, there is no password available in plain text format.
There is advanced ACP security which prevents security risks while handling ACP keys when sharing ACP url.
Invision Community promises bank-level security for your data when database access is compromised.
