Can you boost activity to your site without utilizing social media? Is it true that the more social media you have pointing to your site the more successful it will become? Is it worth hiring someone to handle the social media end of things?
Lammchen without utilizing social media?

As long as you can get the investment back
Those on there pretty much want to stay on there. I'm on Mewe (Facebook alternative) & have made mention several times that I have a forum. Some tried to encourage me to just make a Mewe group instead. So, I personally have not had luck utilizing Social Media. They were not interested. Now, if I had someone who could pretty much guarantee me they'd help me get members, then I'd look into hiring someone.
I always tell this to admins who struggle to get members. People are selfish, even your best friends won't signup on your forums unless they have something useful in it.
Don't mistake me, it is human nature to look for profit. Make sure that they get something in return and you can see how much they like it.
I know that ''Social Signals' underpin SEO quite a lot these days, and having a good strong presence on the likes of Facebook and Twitter can help boost your search results and build your domain authority. I think Social Media generally is a great traffic source, but there's a few other methods I like too: Promotion Forums, Directories and Google News being the main 'big ones'
Very interesting 👍️
Social media is a good resource which if utilised properly can help a lot.
