For cheap domains, take a look at SAV - https://www.sav.com/domains Discovered this the other day when looking to renew an .io domain - saved myself a fortune by transferring out to this
I am a Namecheap customer and i like to stick with them. As Abhi mentioned their support is awesome, little slow though, and during offers they rock.
phenomlab Thanks for the sharing it.
Namecheap has the best customer support in the industry. They will help us with almost anything for free. A great boon for people who are not good with the backend configuration.
Today, I tried to buy from Namecheap. They insist that I should save my card details if I need to buy. I left it as such and moved on. I don't know why they need to save it. Shouldn't they be happy that I am buying from them ?
Abhi no, not at all. Making you save payment details is a way of guaranteeing revenue Duke the domain renewal. Don't forget that all domain registrations are set to auto renew by default 😉
Really creepy. I disabled the auto-renew. But even then they need me to save the card. I don't see any good cause to do that. What I want to buy a single domain and move on.

🤕 🤒
Abhi have a look at your recent orderers. All providers will do this as a way of locking in revenue.
Abhi I think most of the service providers ( Domain or Hosting) do this right? Once you have done with payment you can go ahead and delete the payment. I use Namecheap and i have saved my card, i use one host which saves my card (but deleted it now)
Yes, that seems to be the only way out. Save the card, make payment and delete it. Do they allow deleting all saved cards ?
Abhi I think so, i see an option to remove my card from Namecheap (Master Card)
