For me Skype works greatly. Emails take care of rest of the trouble. I don't have to video call much.
Ok. I think WhatsApp is good enough in normal conditions. Considering people can do audio, video calls and file sharing. A lot of people would be looking for options like Dropbox, OneDrive, Google Drive etc
We use Whatsapp to take care of all the needs, Skype rarely for a team meet
