Some forums use this facility where your thread is highlighted by colour or is made sticky. Is this something of a benefit to you ? I see a lot of people want to do that in the market place of busy forums to highlight their service or " For Sale " offer.
Will you ask for a sticky post in a blog as well, for a fee ?
