admin NGINX is extremely quick, but doesn't have the same flexibility as Apache when it comes to .htaccess files, so it's not for everyone. NGINX essentially fills a performance void left by Apache, and in most cases, an accepted configuration from most Web hosts is to actually place NGINX in front of Apache and have it proxy requests.
NGINX is also notoriously difficult to configure for beginners, but if you can stand the pain, the performance benefits alone are well worth it.
