A big no. Mainly because the competition will not allow it. It will also cause unnecessary politics and war or words.
I have seen this before and I would never let it happen if I am going to be at the receiving end.

PMs are another killer feature when competition is allowed. They use PMs for all sort of things that PMs are not designed for. You will be forced to read PMs then.
