Do you think there is any value for a domain which simply redirects to another URL ? I have seen a lot of people buy old websites and then redirect the traffic to their own website.
I really do not see the point in doing this. In addition, the SSL side of things will cause you issues eventually with mismatched certificates. Not great for the user experience, and not great for security either.
phenomlab not great for security either.
What is the security risk ? 🧐
If I use adminbable.com and redirect it to this domain. Is that going to cause issues ? 😕
Abhi No security risk as such provided the sites are adequately protected, but often you'll see an SSL error in the browser if you go to one site and then it redirects without the correct settings.

That is true.
But a lot of big board owners are doing the redirection process. It is hard to believe that they are making an SEO blunder.
Abhi It's much safer to use an SEO friendly 301 redirect than other methods.
Google started talking about 301 redirects very recently. Mostly from 3 years back. Right ?
I think it was not there, or no one mention about 301 redirects before that. It is a trend, will come and go.
