Blogging with a forum

Have you ever got this idea of blogging with a forum ? Or forum software. Considering how tedious is it keep WordPress in line with those updates, I think it will be a better idea to use forum software instead. All you are going to loose is the comments. But if your forum support Facebook, Twitter etc login support, even that can be fixed.

Does Google differentiate between a forum and a blog.

If Google thinks that MyBB is a forum and is meant to be a community, a forum with low activity can be less productive than a low traffic blog. That said, I have never heard Google differentiate between a blog and forum. I think Google knows what WordPress and have some specific arrangements for it. But it doesn't matter if you comments section is wide and has an avatar. It is a bloated blog layout, that's all.

I have never heard Google talk about forums or blog in particular. But will there be something that Google count about forums and blogs.

I have already started the preparation. Hopefully, June will be the best time to start.

I don't think it will sink at the SEO level. There are a lot of forums which receive views but not many replies. So does blogs which get good no. of views but not many comments. Then that is it, it is just a bloated layout.

Nice that you think that way. There is no easy way of doing things like that. Blogging will get you mad. You and you alone. How long can one sustain such loneliness ?

Don't worry about until it is 3 months old and have a minimum traffic. A lot of people make that mistake. If I have observed correctly in all these years, in normal cases, there won't be anything before 6 months.
