Free graphics

A lot of graphic designers draw for free. Mostly because they want to contribute to the community. I personally see this as a good intent. But there are people who abuse such helpful mentality. They care only to leech the artist and the community without basic manners.

Have you ever come across such incidents ? How do you deal with it ?

Skip them, don't think of them. There is nothing you can do. They are there on every forum / platform.

It is their habit than being intentionally cunning and rude.

I think I will stop doing graphics for free altogether. I am not that good anyway.

I think there might be some designers who would want to build up a portfolio and offer their services for free at the start. That's not really a bad idea but it can't last if they want to do it as a business.

It could also be that there are barters being done with the graphic for free if the receiving party offers some other service that they're in need of for return.

I do graphics for free for close friends and family but that's because I feel bad if I charge them.
