Abhi .io is very trendy. I have phenomlab.io also but don't use it. I just purchased it to prevent it from being cyber squatted. Not cheap at all though.
People think .io is actually trendy, but it's origins are Indian Ocean, hence IO. Or, if you're into tech, it's Input / Output.
