How many of you run your website with the default theme that came with your software ? Is that a good idea ?
Have you ever had a problem because you use the default theme ?
I am ok with the default theme. Most CMS has a bearable default theme.
If you know a bit of CSS, they can be modded as well. Some software offer different options by default.
I tend to take the stock theme and modify it to my tastes. Typically, it means I land up with a "Franken Theme" afterwards but I'm generally happy with the result. The phenomlab forum is a classic example of this

This. More or less a lot of successful admins do this. Mainly because it will keep the essence and still be different.
It has good effects too. Much better than rebuilding the whole interface.
Some of them make a mess out of it though.
Abhi to be honest, some of the forums I've seen in the showcase tag look absolutely awful 🤮
And some of them love too. People have strange tastes.
I like the way Flarum provides primary and secondary colours to the UI.
